Western Bonelli's Warbler Phylloscopus bonelli

There have been two records in Guernsey. The first was found by Mike Hill at the Vale Pond (?) on 29 August 1964 and another was seen at Fort Saumarez on 23 August 1997.

The second bird coincided with a remarkable series of records of rare birds over a matter of days. The most notable feature was that they were from all areas of the globe and included a Solitary Sandpiper, Citrine Wagtail, Night Heron and an Aquatic Warbler.
