Fri 20th Aug	Black Storks - the three birds seen again mid-morning over Rue Mainguy, then drifted NE and went low over Oatlands towards Vale, but not reported since. Claire Mare - Wood Sandpiper.
Thu 19th Aug	This evening 3 Black Storks were seen in flight between 5 and 6 pm in the area between KGV playing fields and Barras Lane fields.

Sat 26th Jun	Pleinmont - flock of c.22 Crossbill over Trinity. A few sightings of Honey Buzzards around the centre of the island today. Claire Mare - 1 Green Sandpiper.

Mon 3rd May	Pleinmont - a male Serin singing at the top of vaux de monel this afternoon. Rue des Bergers - Black-tailed Godwit. Claire Mare - Spoonbill still present.
Sun 2nd May	Claire Mare - a male Grey-headed Wagtail present for a short time this morning (the Scandinavian race of Yellow Wagtail). Also Spoonbill still present.

Fri 23rd Apr	L'Eree - many wagtails on Shingle Bank, with up to 50 Whites and 30 Yellows (plus the mystery wagtail). Pleinmont area - Hobby, 2 Ring Ouzels, Mistle Thrush, Redstart, Swift. The Mute Swan has reappeared off Lihou Island. Mont Herault - 1 Rook. Les Tielles - 4 Ring Ouzels.
Thu 22nd Apr	Fort le Crocq - a Mute Swan early afternoon. Vale Pond - Green Sandpiper. Talbot V. - Greenshank over, plus one at L'Eree. Lots of White Wagtails in L'Eree area (please look out for an unusual dark-headed bird which is of interest).
Wed 21st Apr	L'Eree - a Blue-headed Wagtail. Pleinmont - male Pied Flycatcher & 1 Ring Ouzel. Many Wheatears, White Wagtails and other migrants in today. Mont Cuet - ad Yellow-legged Gull.
Mon 19th Apr	Marais Nord - Swift. Prevote - Turtle Dove. Pleinmont - Spotted Flycatcher, Redstart & 3 Ring Ouzels.
Sun 18th Apr	Pleinmont - Osprey flew North at 1730, 6+ Redstart, 1 Ring Ouzel and other migrants. Rue de la Ronde Cheminee - male Ring Ouzel. Vale Pond - Greenshank.

Wed 7th Apr	Influx of migrants island wide. L'Eree - Yellow Wagtail & Little Ringed Plover. Miellette - Sedge Warbler & Whitethroat.
Tue 6th Apr	Grande Mare - Lesser Scaup still.
Mon 5th Apr	Grande Mare -1 Lesser Scaup still. Pezeries - 2 Whimbrel. Herm - 3 male Ring Ouzel, Marsh Harrier & a diver sp. by Jethou which may have been the Pacific.
Sun 4th Apr	Track Marais - the Crane is still present. Chouet - 2 Balearic Shearwater past today. Herm - Snowy Owl still present. Track Marais - 2 Redstart, 1 Reed Bunting.
Fri 2nd Apr	L'Eree - Crane still present this morning but flew inland at 11-ish, then went East over Les Effards, St. Sampsons at 1230, then seen near The Track in the afternoon. Claire Mare - male Garganey at the back of reserve. Snowy Owl roosting in pines above Belvioir, Herm at 1830.

Wed 24th Mar	Claire Mare - Willow Warbler singing. L'Eree Shingle Bank - 2 Black-necked & 3 Slavonian Grebes seen off there today. Fort le Crocq - Water Pipit still. There have been tens of Sand Martins and a few Swallows passing through today.
Tue 23rd Mar	Mont Cuet - Glaucous Gull again. L'Eree - Common Sandpiper. Merlins seen at Grand Pre, L'Eree and Lihou.

Fri 19th Mar	Lihou - Snowy Owl still. Grande Mare - 1 Lesser Scaup still. Mont Cuet Tip - 1st-winter Glaucous Gull + ad Yellow-legged Gull. Migrants today included Swallows at Perelle and Claire Mare, plus widespread Wheatears.
Thu 18th Mar	Mont Cuet landfill - first-winter Glaucous Gull and Yellow-legged Gull.
Wed 17th Mar	Longfrie - Osprey flew over northwards. Lihou - Snowy Owl still. Pulias - Richard's Pipit still present. Colin Best NR - first Sand Martins today.
Tue 16th Mar	Snowy Owl, Richard's Pipit and Water Pipit all still present.
Mon 15th Mar	Lihou - Snowy Owl still present. Pulias - Richard's Pipit still present in large field between car parks. Snow Bunting on sea wall by the slipway near the Claire Mare.
Sun 14th Mar	Lihou - Snowy Owl present again, on rocks just off the Priory.
Sat 13th Mar	Lihou - the Snowy Owl was seen for an hour late morning just south of the priory. Jaonneuse - Wheatears present.
Fri 12th Mar	Jaonneuse - 1 Wheatear. Fort le Crocq - Water Pipit still. Track Marais - Reed Bunting.

Sun 17th Jan	Claire Mare - Bittern seen at back of reserve. Old Aerodrome - Black-tailed Godwit. Grandes Havres - Great Northern Diver, Slavonian Grebe and Black-necked Grebe. Paradis - 7 Gadwall. Reservoir - 2 Pochard.
Sat 16th Jan	Grande Mare - 1 Lesser Scaup, 2 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck, 3 Gadwall. At least 5 Mistle Thrushes seen around the island today.
Fri 15th Jan	Grand Pre - Bittern and 2 Woodlark over this morning. Claire Mare - Bittern. Reservoir - 2 male Pochards. Chouet Landfill - near-adult Yellow-legged Gull. Les Amarreurs - Black-necked Grebe.
Thu 14th Jan	One or more Bitterns seem to be roving around the island - there have been reports today of birds flushed at Les Sages, Torteval and at Les Rouvets. Port Grat - Pacific Diver. Chouet - Black-necked Grebe.
Wed 13th Jan	Still lots of winter birds around - e.g. in fields at Rue du Marais, Castel today were 460+ Lapwing, 500+ Redwing, 500+ Fieldfare, 50+ Skylark, Mistle Thrush, 3 Gadwall. Pulias - Avocet flew south.
Tue 12th Jan	Reservoir - Bittern seen on road at back of Reservoir this morning. L'Eree - Black-tailed Godwit on Old Aerodrome.
Mon 11th Jan	Pleinmont - 2 Woodlark, 130+ Skylark, 1 Merlin, 1 Jack Snipe.
Sun 10th Jan	Pulias - Pacific Diver in bay opposite pond today. Vale Pond - Avocet. Grandes Havres - Black-necked Grebe, 2 Slavonian Grebes & Great Northern Diver. L'Eree - Avocet (presumed same as above), 7 Gadwall, 90 Wigeon. Rue des Bergers - 7 Gadwall.
Sat 9th Jan	Grande Mare - a Bittern flushed from beside central track (by 6th green), with a Ruff, Mistle Thrush, 2 Gadwall and one Lesser Scaup there. Grandes Havres - Pacific Diver again today. L'Eree - Avocet still on saltmarsh. Colin Best NR - 1 Black-tailed Godwit.
Fri 8th Jan	Grandes Havres - Pacific Diver still present. Grande Mare - 1 Lesser Scaup still plus 2 Gadwall & Mistle Thrush.
Thu 7th Jan	There were 4 Woodlarks this morning near Rue des Bergers, in a field at the corner of Sous les Jardins lane. L'Eree Old Aerodrome - 1 Avocet, a few Common Gulls & 2 Pintail this morning. Rousse - Pacific Diver seen again. Lots of Lapwing, Fieldfare, Redwing and Skylark at the moment.
Wed 6th Jan	Port Grat - Pacific Diver reported there between 12.40 and 13.00. Grandes Havres - Pacific Diver again this morning, ranging all around the bay. Also 2 Great Northern Divers and a Black-throated Diver.
Tue 5th Jan	Grandes Havres - no definite sign of the Pacific Diver today despite searching. Note that as well as the 2 Great Northern Divers there was also a 'normal' Black-throated Diver in the bay today. Also a Great Skua seen in same area today.
Mon 4th Jan	Grandes Havres - The diver with the 2 Great Northern Divers was present again today and is a probable PACIFIC DIVER. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you do!

Sun 12th Apr	A Red Kite flew over Baubigny at about 4:20, and was also seen over Camp du Roi and the Heritage Walk nature trail, before going SW over Pleinmont at 4:50. Grand Pre - the Bittern showed well from the hide.

Sat 21st Mar	Port Soif - a pair of Fan-tailed Warblers showing very well this morning in the rough ground between the football pitches and the main road. The male singing regularly. Also a Short-eared Owl past there at 2 o'clock.
Fri 20th Mar	Port Soif - a Fan-tailed Warbler was present today in the bramble scrub by the road, between the football pitches and the Grandes Rocques Hotel. Possibly another bird present. Guernsey Water site in St. Andrews (Bests Brickfield) - a Hoopoe seen this morning.
